625 S Polk St, Amarillo, TX 79101
The Amarillo Street Railway Company began running its electric streetcar lines in January 1908 and it was operated under various owners until 1924. During the early and bustling years of service, the line employed ten cars, but usually only six were in service. These cars kept the citizens, visitors, customers, and employees of Amarillo’s growing business district moving up and down Amarillo’s retail lane in style. Six Cars were the lifeblood of Polk Street.
Six Car Pub & Brewery is a unique food and beer concept in Amarillo, the only brewpub in the heart of downtown. By fusing fresh and creative cuisine with both whimsical and classic beer styles brewed onsite, we aim to challenge and grow Amarillo’s restaurant culture. We intend to become a landmark and anchor of downtown redevelopment. Our goal is nothing less than changing our city for the better.
